The Year Ahead – Through Rose-Colored Glasses

The Year Ahead – Through Rose-Colored Glasses
As the year comes to end it seems to me that the year 2018 turned out to be a fantabulous year in terms of surprises and achievements. I was recognized by WADe Asia for my efforts towards promoting sustainability through my artworks. Likewise one of my murals the “Perfectly Imperfect” secured an EDIDA Award for me. This was also a year when I notched up noted Indian corporate and HNI’s in my kitty.

I am grateful to God for the overwhelming response I have received for my artworks. Though I am happy, at the same time the idea to outdo myself every passing year is quite a challenge. It is a responsibility which challenges my creative thinking. In the year 2019 I hope to improve my reach further and get recognized overseas. I look forward to interacting with art connoisseurs and improve the visibility of my artworks at a global level.

After having created artworks that are static in nature, I am also toying with the idea of creating a kinetic art and also take up sound art. This will probably allow me to create something which synthesizes technology and art. Since the concept of kinetic art is an existing one, the idea would be to add an element of newness.
Material foreplay is also on the cards. These days more and more artworks seem to denote material diversity through the use of multiple mediums. I would also like to put this diversity to work through my creative perspectives.
That’s pretty much sums up a concise version of my new year’s wish list, I am sure you have one too. And I hope that in the coming year your dreams too, come true.
