Restoration of Humanity

Aeschylus, one of the best writers of ancient Greece, famously stated:

‘Wisdom comes alone through suffering.’ During this Pandemic, social

distancing and prolonged isolation have moreover added to these

thoughts of ours. Our minds and body were depressed. What

was challenging feels overwhelming; what was sad feels unbearable;

what felt joyful feels pleasure less.

What is depression, a psychological desire to be better, to be

stronger, to reflect on where we’ve made mistakes, and to

find ways to improve ourselves?

Depression can ignite inspiration! In this artwork Restoration

of Humanity, the artist tries to show a work in progress of a

human soul, who is persistently operating on itself to restore

its mental sanity. A work in progress shows the vulnerability

of the individual, his low mood swings, trying to cope up with the world.
