This journey, captured through the lens of an artist, unveils the intricate palette of Amritsari cuisine, each dish a stroke in the canvas of my memorable experience.
Ranjit Swassa: A Vintage Haven In my pursuit of the off-beat, I discovered Ranjit Swassa—an age-old bungalow turned guest house with an irresistible vibe. Despite its rustic charm and less-than-perfect upkeep, the cozy atmosphere and courteous staff made it a haven to relax and unwind. The multiple lounging corners added to the charm, providing the perfect backdrop for my artistic reflections.
Kanha Sweet: A Breakfast Extravaganza Kanha Sweet, a breakfast haven, greeted us with oversized pooris, khatti-meethi aloo ki sabzi, and delectable chhole. The lassi was a perfect accompaniment, setting the tone for a day filled with culinary delights. The conscious choice to skip unnecessary indulgences was a rule, ensuring a balance between indulgence and restraint.
Ahuja Milk Bhandar and Gian Di Lassi: Lassi Indulgence Lassi at Ahuja Milk Bhandar or Gian Di Lassi was a must-try, with malai on top and a dollop of butter. The richness and flavor of these lassis were unparalleled, leaving an indelible mark on my taste buds.
Sitaram Jalebiwala: Unexpected Sweet Symphony Unexpectedly, Sitaram Jalebiwala entered my culinary sojourn. While not initially keen on jalebi, the decision to buy ended up being a sweet addition to my gastronomic journey.

Haveli: Savoring Tradition Haveli, with its traditional make ki roti and sarso da saag, offered an authentic culinary experience. The small bowl of ghee and khand on the side enhanced the satisfaction of this timeless combination. The restaurant provided a sophisticated break from the bustling streets, adding a touch of refinement to our culinary journey.
Brothers Da Dhaba: Thali Delight For a special thali, Brothers Da Dhaba stood out. The dhal makhani was a standout, and the masala papad complemented the meal perfectly. This stop provided a respite from roadside eateries and introduced a more refined dining experience.
Maqbool Kulcha: Crispy Culinary Delight For crispy and freshly made kulcha, Maqbool Kulcha became an absolute delight. The simple joy of savoring their offerings added a unique dimension to my food fiesta.
